"CHANGING THE LINES" WITH SIRIUS HMPE ROPES - HEPHAESTUS FORUM 2011

On May 4th 2011, Katradis Marine Ropes Industry SA participated in the 1ST
HELLENIC MARINE EQUIPMENT & EXPORTERS FORUM ATHENS 2011 (HEPHAESTUS)
forum and exhibition whose subject was "Building competitive strategies
for New Building Projects". This event was organized by the HELLENIC
INSTITUTE OF MARINE TECHNOLOGY and was held in the Euginides Foundation
Auditorium. In this event Katradis had the opportunity to present the
benefits of the Sirius rope and the features of the Spectra Yarn, which
is an Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) material
manufactured by Honeywell and it is used by Katradis company for the
manufacture of the Sirius rope, a rope with extra high strength, low
weight, superior UV, fatigue and abrasion resistance, flexibility, easy
one-man handling and wire-like elongation characteristics. Sirius rope
is the perfect replacement for wire ropes and has been in service for years.
In this event Katradis also presented the rest of its products line,
which include a wide variety of mooring ropes, steel wire ropes & anodes
for the cathodic protection of vessels.
