MOORING ROPES
SAFETY
FOR SAFETY PURPOSES:
Do not use worn Ropes.
Never stand in line with a Rope under tension. It may recoil, in case of overload/failure, with considerable force (snap back effect)
Never exceed the strength of a Rope (Working Load Limit).
Always make sure splices are intact.
Make sure, that the end of the Rope is fast to bitts and not just on drum end.
Inspect the Rope periodically, and replace it if you find it worn or frayed.
